General Information

The information given herein is applicable for admission to first year of two year full time post graduate degree course in Management namely Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Master of Management Studies (MMS), Post Graduate Diploma Course in Business Management (PGDBM)/ and Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management (PGDM).

The institutes which qualify for the admission process as per these rules are:

Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Recognised by the Government of Maharashtra.
Affiliated to any one of the ten Non Agricultural/Non Technological Universities in Maharashtra state.

Following are the types of Institutes in the Maharashtra state covered by these rules:
a) All Government Management Institutes
b) All University Departments of Management
c) All University Managed Management Institutes
d) All Unaided Management Institutes and/or its Association who have given consent to participate in the CAP rounds conducted by the State Government.

The admission to the courses MBA/MMS is centralized and is covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra. The admission to the courses PGDBM and PGDM {Except PGDBM course at Sydenham Institute of Management Studies & Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE), Mumbai} is not centralized and is not covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra. However, the candidates qualifying in the MAH-MBA/MMS –CET 2009 would be eligible for admission to the PGDBM and PGDM courses in the institutes running AICTE recognized full time PGDBM/PGDM courses. The GD, PI and admission rounds for the PGDBM and PGDM courses will be held at the respective institutes. The Competent Authority of State Government shall carry out admissions to PGDBM course of Sydenham Institute of Management Studies & Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE), Mumbai, through the same centralized admission process as that of MBA/MMS course.

Important Dates

1. Sale of the Information Brochure at select post offices: First Date: 15-01-09; Last Date: 31-01-09

2. Online submission of the “CET AppUcation Form” through computer connected to Internet on the web site for Maharashtra State /OMS/J&K candidates and receipt of the Hall Ticket for the MAH-MBA/MMS- CE-I 2009. First Date: 15-01-09; Last Date: 31-01-09

Note: Candidates who have appeared/appearing for the CAT/JMET/MAT(of Feb. 2009)/ATMA/XAT and aspiring to claim admission against the All India seats are also required to submit the online CET application form.

3. Date and timing ofthe MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009: 15-02-09 (2.00 p.m.)

4. Declaration of the results of the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 on the website 26-03-09

5. Registration forthe Group Discussions(GD) and Personal Interviews(PI) and receipt of call letter: First Date: 11-05-09; Last Date: 22-05-09

6. Conduct of GD and PT at select centers: First Date: 25-05-09; Last Date: 12-06-09

7. Submission of the Work Experience Certificate (In Proforma-G) at SIMSREE, Mumbal only by Registered Post: First Date: 25-05-09; Last Date: 06-06-09

8. Document verification, updation and confirmation of Application Form for Admission at ARC for Maharashtra State/OMS/J&K candidates: First Date: 25-05-09; Last Date: 12-06-09

9. Display of the provisional merit lists (Maharashtra State, AU India and J&K candidates) on the web site 22-06-09

10. Submission of grievance applications of Maharashtra, All India and J&K candidates, If any, at respective ARC: First Date: 23-06-09; Last Date: 24-06-09

11. Display of the final merit lists (Maharashtra State, All India and J&K candidates) on web site 29-06-09
